Henry Cavil has unveiled the first look of the highly anticipated Highlander reboot.
During the CinemaCon event in Las Vegas, the event offered fans an early glimpse of Cavill as the immortal Scottish warrior Connor McLeod.
Directed by Chad Stahelski, the film is currently half way through production.
In a video introduction, the Witcher star expressed his excitement, saying, “We are only halfway through production but already feel we are creating something truly special.”
The footage opens with Enola Holmes star's character declaring, “I am Connor MacLeod, who was born in 1518, and I am immortal.”
Later, Bautista’s character warns Cavill, “When my sword changes history, you will have a front row seat, Highlander.” This leads the British star to reply, “All right, if you say so.”
The footage ended with a montage of various character promising, “There can be only one.”
The reboot imagines the 1986 cult classic that starred Christopher Lambert as McLeod and Sean Connery as his mentor.
The new version follows the 16th century Scottish clansman who discovers he is immortal and must battle others like him across time in a fight that can end with only one survivor.
The release date of Highlander is yet to be announced.
