Billy Crystal is making his Broadway return with a play about his experience during the 2025 Los Angeles Palisades wildfire.

The 78-year-old wrote the autobiographical play after he lost his house in the fire after living in it for more than four decades.

“I am thrilled to return to Broadway this fall with this challenging new show, 860 was the address of the home we lost in the Palisades fires. We lived there for 46 years,” the Grammy winner said in a statement.

Billy and his wife of 55 years Janice lived in their Palisades home from 1979 to 2025, and throughout the years the pair and their children, Lindsay and Jennifer along with their grandchildren all had memories associated with the place.

Billy added in the statement that he will “invite you to come inside 860 and I’ll tell you all the funny and touching things that happened there, not only in my career but to our family.”

The When Harry Met Sally… actor added that the play was about the power of family and love and how it can people get through difficult times.

Notably, the Tony winner’s Broadway debut was also a one-man show in 2004 with 700 Sundays which was a record-breaker at the time.
