James Cameron has recently hinted at Billie Eilish’s acting debut in the upcoming movie, The Bell Jar.
The Avatar director, who co-directed new 3D Concert movie, Billie Eilish: Hit Me Hard and Soft: The Tour, is busy promoting the new movie with the singer at the CinemaCon on April 16.
Dishing out detail, the new documentary follows Billie on her seventh headlining concert tour, Hit Me Hard and Soft: The Tour in Manchester, England.
While speaking to Fandango, James seemingly confirms that Billie is making her debut for the big screen.
When asked about working with James, the songstress responded that whatever happens, happens for a reason.
The movie-maker chimed in and said that she’s “acting now and there are all kinds of possibilities”.
James told the outlet that Billie did three or four albums when he was writing the new movie.
In his latest presentation for theatre owners and distributors at CinemaCon, James pointed out that this was “not a concert movie for streaming” and when he saw how Billie connects with her audience, he saw “the chance to do something really and special”.
Amid the rumours, the director confirmed that the Grammy winner is in “advanced talks” to make her professional acting debut in Sylvia Path’s 1963 novel, The Bell Jar, reported via Deadline.
