Bad Bunny shouldn’t be ‘allowed’ for Super Bowl show: Danica Patrick

Former professional driver Danica Patrick is taking a shot at Bad Bunny being chosen to perform at the Super Bowl Halftime Show.

Taking to X, she wrote, “Oh fun. No songs in English should not be allowed at one of America’s highest rated television events of the year … not just for sports.”

Fans and users on the internet quickly responded to the bizarre comment, as one joked, “What are you gonna do about it? Threaten to drive NASCAR again?”

“You do know he’s American right?,” questioned another.

The singer was born in Vega Baja, Puerto Rico which is a US territory, effectively making him a US citizen.

Some users agreed with the take from Patrick, as one remarked, “Don’t forget the guy wouldn’t do shows in the States because of ICE yet he’ll perform on SNL and at the SB.”

Bunny stated previously that he refused to include American cities in his tour because he did not want his fans to be targeted by ICE, "I've enjoyed connecting with Latinos who have been living in the U.S. But there was the issue of f****** ICE could be outside [my concert]. And it’s something that we were talking about and very concerned about."

His selection as the performer for the Super Bowl has divided the internet, which is quite strange considering his undeniable global popularity in recent years.
