Prince Harry has made a surprising U-turn about the possibility of bringing his children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, back to the UK.
The Duke of Sussex, 40, has long voiced concerns about his family’s safety in Britain, especially after losing his legal battle with the Home Office over his downgraded security following his royal exit.
Just months ago, he told the BBC: “I can't see a world in which I would bring my wife and children back to the UK at this point.”
However, in a new interview with The Guardian after his recent four-day UK trip, Harry hinted that Archie and Lilibet’s return could happen sooner than expected.
Asked if he would bring his children back, he replied: “I would. This week has definitely brought that closer.”
The shift follows a whirlwind week in England, where Harry attended multiple charity events and met his father King Charles at Clarence House for their first private tea in 19 months.
The pair spent 55 minutes together behind closed doors.
A royal insider told The Sunday Times: “He’s not given up hope on bringing his family back to the UK. He wants to show his children where he grew up and for them to know their family here. He really would like to come back to the UK much more.”
