Meghan Markle’s former best friend Jessica Mulroney is reportedly preparing to release a bombshell tell-all book, and insiders say it could finally lift the lid on what really happened between her and the Duchess of Sussex.
Publishing sources told the Mirror that Mulroney’s memoir is the story “royal watchers want to read”, with speculation that she could secure a seven-figure deal depending on how much she’s willing to reveal.
Jessica, 45, was once one of Meghan’s closest confidantes.
She styled the Duchess during her engagement photoshoot with Prince Harry in 2017 and was among the small circle who knew about the couple’s relationship in its early days.
But the friendship ended in 2020 after Jessica became embroiled in a racism scandal, when Canadian influencer Sasha Exeter accused her of using her “white privilege.”
Meghan reportedly cut ties soon after, leaving Jessica “toxic” on Toronto’s social scene.
According to insiders, Mulroney now feels she finally has the chance to set the record straight.
“She has the receipts. She was really put through the mud in 2020 and was unable to say anything at the time. Writing a book would allow her to reclaim her power,” the source said.
The book could also revisit infamous moments, including claims about the 2018 bridesmaid dress fitting for Princess Charlotte, where Meghan and Kate Middleton were said to have clashed.
The insider added: “People would rush to buy Jessica’s book to know what really happened. Hers is the real story everyone is asking for.”
The timing comes as Jessica faces major life changes of her own as she recently split from her husband, Ben Mulroney, with whom she shares three children: 14-year-old twins Brian and John, and 12-year-old daughter Ivy.
