Prince Harry may have been thousands of miles away from Meghan Markle during his whirlwind trip to the UK and Ukraine last week, but the Duchess was still very much on his mind.
While Meghan, 44, remained at the couple’s Montecito home with Prince Archie, 6, and Princess Lilibet, 4, Harry, 40, revealed in a candid interview that he lives by one simple piece of advice from his wife: “Just stick to the truth.”
Speaking to The Guardian, Harry said: “It is the thing I always fall back on. Always. And if you think like that, who would be stupid enough to lie? It takes up too much time and effort.”
The Duke also reflected on his explosive 2023 memoir Spare, calling it a “series of corrections” rather than sensational revelations.
“I know that [speaking out] annoys some people and it goes against the narrative. The book? It was a series of corrections to stories already out there. One point of view had been put out and it needed to be corrected,” he explained.
Defending his decision to publish, Harry added: “I don’t believe that I aired my dirty laundry in public. It was a difficult message, but I did it in the best way possible. My conscience is clear.”
