Workers have already erected 7ft security fences around Windsor Castle ahead of Wednesday’s grand welcome, which will feature a Red Arrows flypast and a Beating Retreat military ceremony.
Andrew’s appearance comes at a tense moment, as reports claim US Congress is reviewing “incriminating” emails between the Duke and late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
A source told the Daily Mail: “If you think what’s happened to Peter Mandelson is bad, you have no idea what will happen when the Andrew emails are released. They are embarrassing and incriminating and he could be destroyed.”
While King Charles, 76, and Queen Camilla, 77, are set to host the Trumps at Windsor, Princess Kate will play a major role in the programme.
She will join First Lady Melania Trump at Frogmore Gardens to meet Scouts and community leaders.
