Kate Middleton makes students laugh with hilarious comeback

Kate Middleton had everyone laughing during her latest royal outing after a funny exchange with a group of schoolchildren.

The Princess of Wales, 43, visited Sudbury Silk Mills in Suffolk on Thursday, where she greeted pupils as she left the engagement.

Spotting the children, who said they were in Year 5 and Year 6, the same year as her daughter Princess Charlotte, Kate asked: “Is it nice being back at school?”

In unison, the kids shouted: “No!”

Without missing a beat, Kate mimicked their reply: “No!” The crowd burst out laughing, and the princess playfully added: “That must have meant you had a really good holiday.”

One of the girls admitted her break was only “kind of” good, prompting Kate to echo back with a smile: “Kind of.”

The sweet moment came just as Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, seven, all returned to Lambrook School after their summer break.

George has now entered his final year at the prep school, with speculation swirling about whether he’ll head to Eton College next year.
