Prince Andrew backs in spotlight over Epstein links

Prince Andrew is once again under scrutiny after Virginia Giuffre’s lawyer demanded a new investigation into the Duke of York’s ties to Jeffrey Epstein.

David Boies, who represented Giuffre in her civil case against Andrew, told Piers Morgan Uncensored that both UK and US authorities have “basically given him a pass.”

Giuffre, who tragically died by suicide in April last year, had accused Epstein of forcing her to have sex with the royal when she was 17, claims Andrew has always vehemently denied. He later settled the case without admitting liability.

Boies said there are “between 10 and 20 men” with enough evidence against them to justify “serious prosecutorial investigation,” and confirmed that Andrew was among them.

Pressed by Morgan if Andrew should face prosecution, Boies replied: “Not a prosecution, but certainly an investigation."

"One of the things that has frustrated us… is that both in the UK and the United States, he was basically given a pass.”

He added that the lack of a formal inquiry leaves Andrew in a reputational limbo: “It’s almost worse, because you don’t have a finding, you have all of the implications.”

The comments come just months after US officials confirmed there would be no further charges against Epstein’s associates, citing no “credible evidence” of blackmail or grounds for new investigations.
