Prince Harry may have been thousands of miles from home, but his latest words hinted at Meghan Markle.

The Duke of Sussex, 40, travelled to Kyiv this week at the invitation of Ukrainian officials and the Invictus Games Foundation.

While addressing veterans and families at the National Museum of the History of Ukraine in the Second World War, Harry gave an emotional speech that included a subtle nod to Meghan.

“The wives and mothers who keep their loved ones on the straight and narrow, they deserve as much respect as anyone who serves,” he said, a remark many saw as a touching tribute to Meghan.

“You will feel lost at times, like you lack purpose, but however dark those days are, there is light at the end of the tunnel. Don’t stay silent. Silence will hold you in the dark. Open up to your friends and family.”

During the trip, Harry also met with Ukraine’s Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko and Veterans Affairs Minister Natalia Kalmykova, laid a wreath in Maidan Square, and highlighted Ukraine’s bid to host the Invictus Games in 2029.
