Piers Morgan brands Prince Harry most intrusive royal in TV clash

Piers Morgan reignited his feud with Prince Harry on ITV’s This Morning, branding the Duke of Sussex the “most intrusive person into royal privacy ever.”

The outspoken broadcaster, 60, was invited on Wednesday’s show to discuss the monarchy’s falling popularity.

Unsurprisingly, Harry, 40, and Meghan Markle, 44, were at the center of his blistering remarks.

“They’ve spent five years enriching themselves in California for trashing their family,” Piers declared. “You can’t get away from that.” He claimed the Sussexes had contributed to “bringing the Royal Family to its knees.”

Harry has been back in the UK this week for charity events, but Piers wasn’t impressed. “You can’t have your cake and eat it,” he said. “What he wants to do is cherry pick things that make him look good.”

When co-guest Ashley James defended Harry’s work and pointed out he left Britain due to intrusive media pressure, Piers snapped back: “The most intrusive person into royal privacy ever has been Prince Harry with his book and with his Netflix series.”

He was, of course, referring to Harry’s bombshell memoir Spare and the Netflix docuseries Harry & Meghan, both of which contained damaging claims about the royals.
