Prince Harry breaks silence on meeting King Charles after 18 months

Prince Harry has finally broken his silence on his long-awaited meeting with King Charles, and he did it in just five words.

The Duke of Sussex, 40, spent nearly an hour at Clarence House in London on Wednesday evening, marking the pair’s first face-to-face meeting in over 18 months.

As he headed to an Invictus Games reception at The Gherkin, Harry was asked about his father and simply replied: “Yes, he’s great, thank you.”

The short but telling remark came after what many are calling a pivotal moment in the strained father-son relationship.

Harry arrived at Clarence House around 5:20 p.m. in a black Range Rover and left just before 6:15 p.m., heading straight to his Invictus engagement.

At the reception, Harry appeared upbeat and relaxed as he mingled with sponsors and government ministers before outlining the next 10 years of his Invictus Games project.

The King, who is still undergoing cancer treatment, had flown in from Balmoral to London earlier in the day, fuelling speculation that a meeting with Harry was on the cards.

While the meeting has sparked hope for reconciliation, Harry remains estranged from Prince William, who was in Cardiff on Wednesday for a mental health engagement.
