Kate Middleton will take centre stage during Donald and Melania Trump’s upcoming state visit to the UK, palace insiders confirm.
The Prince and Princess of Wales are expected to welcome the US President and First Lady upon arrival, before joining King Charles and Queen Camilla for an official carriage procession to Windsor Castle.
Originally scheduled for September 17, the Trumps’ visit has been moved forward a day. The couple will now arrive on September 16, take part in two days of engagements, and depart on September 18.
On their final day, Melania Trump will tour Queen Mary’s Dolls’ House and the Royal Library at Windsor Castle before joining Kate at Frogmore Gardens.
Together, the future Queen and the First Lady will meet Chief Scout Dwayne Fields and young members of the Scouts’ Squirrels programme.
Kate has served as President of the Scout Association since 2020.
Meanwhile, the Princess of Wales is carrying out separate duties today, visiting textile manufacturers in Suffolk and Kent.
According to Kensington Palace, the visits will highlight Britain’s “unique skill, creativity and craftsmanship” in textiles, a cause Kate has long championed.
