Kate Middleton has given a rare glimpse into summer life at home with her three children.
The Princess of Wales, 43, joined Prince William at the National Federation of Women’s Institutes in London on September 8, where the couple sampled baked treats, including William’s favourite brownies, and chatted with members about family life.
Kate revealed that she, Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, seven, spent much of their summer “crafting in every corner of the house.”
She also touched on her love of beekeeping and how making and creating can help build connections in communities.
Kate has previously shared her children’s artistic talents, posting portraits they drew of her earlier this year as part of her Shaping Us initiative, which highlights the role of creativity in early development.
Prince William also gave an update on the children’s sibling dynamic. When asked if Louis is “a handful,” he laughed: “He’s a character, but he’s a very good boy. He likes to wind his brother and sister up.”
He added that while George seems sensible in public, “behind closed doors, it’s completely different.”
The visit comes just after George, Charlotte and Louis returned to Lambrook School.
Next year will mark George’s last at the prep school, with Eton College, William’s alma mater, tipped as his likely next step.
