Prince Harry and King Charles finally reunited this week after 19 months apart, but not without conditions.
The Duke of Sussex, 40, met his father for tea at Clarence House on Wednesday in what many hope is the start of a reconciliation.
According to insiders, King Charles reportedly had one firm request before agreeing to the meeting: no leaks.
A source told the Daily Mail: “This is an important first step towards rebuilding their father-and-son relationship. He has told his father he won't be giving any interviews about it and his team have been instructed not to brief journalists about what was said."
"There's a long way to go before Harry can earn his family's trust but he's given some assurances.”
The private meeting lasted just under an hour and came in the middle of Harry’s four-day UK trip filled with charity engagements.
When later asked about his father at an Invictus Games event, Harry kept it short and simple, replying: “Yes, he’s great.”
The pair’s meeting was their first since February 2024 and sparked hope that the long-standing rift could finally begin to heal.
