'Hannibal' returns: Zendaya to thrill with major role?

Bryan Fuller, the creator of the well-liked TV series Hannibal with the titular character played by Mads Mikkelsen, wants to bring back the series with Zendaya.

The Star Trek: Discovery co-creator seems not to be done with the psychological thriller series, as he voiced his desires during an appearance at the Toronto International Film Festival with the Polar actor for the two’s joint project, Dust Bunny.

In a conversation with ScreenRant, the director of the upcoming horror movie stated “My dream project is to do a limited series of Silence of the Lambs with Mads and Zendaya as Clarice Starling.”

Fuller continued, “If I could put anything out into the universe, I would put that into the universe,” about a potential series.

Meanwhile, the NBC showrunner has previously also talked about his desire to work with the character of FBI agent Clarice Starling at the 2015 Comic-Con.

Fuller revealed that he didn’t have the rights to the popular character, and that he had attempted multiple times to ask Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM) Studios for its rights and been repeatedly delayed.

Is there a Silence of the Lambs already?

Yes, there is a 1991 film called The Silence of the Lambs that has the character of the cannibalistic serial killer Hannibal Lecter played by Anthony Hopkins, and Clarice Starling played by Jodie Foster.
