Meghan Markle comments on royal family rule she had to follow

Meghan Markle has spoken about her life as a working royal after she married the second son of King Charles III and late Princess Diana, Prince Harry in 2018.

The royal couple moved to US in 2020 after withdrawing from their royal duties, which they had been doing since their marriage.

During their engagements, the members of the British royal family have to follow a protocol, which Meghan has spoken about.

The set of rules also includes guidelines on how the members of the royal family are supposed to dress.

Meghan revealed in conversation with Bloomberg’s The Circuit With Emily Chang, ahead of the release of her Netflix’s show With Love Meghan Season two, that she “had to wear nude pantyhose all the time”.

Saying how the clothing item reminded her of 1980’s, she said she “couldn’t be as vocal” in the past and was not able to dress the way she wanted to dress.

“Let’s be honest, that was not very myself. I hadn’t seen pantyhose since movies in the 80s when they came in the little egg. That felt a little bit inauthentic.”

The Duchess said being able to tell her own story is “most important thing in the world”.

The 44-year-old wore nude tights during her first royal engagement after getting married to Harry at a Buckingham Palace garden party in 2018.
