Queen Elizabeth colluded to shield Prince Andrew, new book alleges

Royal author Andrew Lownie has doubled down on bombshell claims that Queen Elizabeth II “knew exactly what was going on” with Prince Andrew, and that Buckingham Palace “colluded” to keep it quiet.

Speaking to The Sunday Times ahead of this week’s release of his unauthorized biography, Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York, Lownie alleges the Palace was aware of Andrew’s private business dealings on taxpayer-funded trips while he was a working royal.

“This is what shocked me - the cover-up from the Palace. They knew exactly what was going on,” Lownie said, adding he now believes the late Queen “allowed it to happen.”

He contrasts that with King Charles and Prince William, whom he says see Andrew’s issues “much more clearly.”

The book, already serialized with eye-popping claims about the Yorks’ finances, Andrew’s behavior toward staff, and an alleged physical clash with Prince Harry, has drawn pushback.

Harry’s representatives flatly denied any fight ever happened. The Palace has declined comment, as Andrew is no longer a working royal.

Lownie also warned Charles to keep the York family at arm’s length, suggesting Sarah “Fergie” Ferguson shouldn’t be invited to royal events and that Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie shouldn’t become working royals.

He teased that “more scandals” could surface.

Prince Andrew stepped back from duties in 2019 amid the fallout from his ties to Jeffrey Epstein and later lost military titles and patronages.
