Prince Andrew reportedly told Met officer to find damaging info on Virginia Giuffre

Prince Andrew has been hit with shocking new allegations claiming he asked a Met Police bodyguard to investigate his former accuser, Virginia Giuffre, in an apparent bid to discredit her.

According to The Mail on Sunday, an email allegedly shows the disgraced Duke of York instructing his personal protection officer to look into Giuffre’s background, even providing her date of birth and social security number.

The outlet claims Andrew also informed Ed Perkins, the late Queen’s former deputy press secretary, of his actions, writing: “It would also seem she has a criminal record in the US.”

The report notes there is no evidence the officer followed through with the request, and Giuffre’s family has confirmed she has no criminal record.

The allegations emerge just days after Andrew relinquished his Duke of York title and remaining honours in an attempt by King Charles to distance the monarchy from scandal.
