Prince William is expected to face a “tough” decision regarding his cousins Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie when he becomes king, according to royal experts.
As the Prince of Wales, 43, prepares for his future role, insiders suggest he intends to take a firmer stance on his uncle Prince Andrew, whose ties to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein continue to cast a shadow over the monarchy.
While King Charles has allowed Andrew limited participation in family events, royal commentator Jennie Bond told The Mirror that William is likely to be “stricter” about his uncle’s presence at both public and private occasions.
“Banishing or humiliating Andrew and Fergie would cause Beatrice and Eugenie further hurt,” Bond said, calling it “a tough nut for William to crack.”
The potential rift could prove difficult, as William reportedly shares a close bond with his cousins, often seen laughing and chatting with them at royal events such as Royal Ascot.
