Meghan Markle closes door on reconciliation with swipe at royal life

Meghan Markle has reportedly “closed the door” on any chance of reconciliation with the Royal Family after making what insiders call a subtle but pointed jab at royal life.

During her appearance on The Circuit with Emily Chang, the Duchess of Sussex, 44, joked about the strict dress codes she had to follow while living as a senior royal. 

“It was different several years ago when I couldn’t be as vocal and I had to wear nude pantyhose all the time,” she said. “Let’s be honest, that was not very myself. That felt a little bit inauthentic.”

A royal source told RadarOnline the remark “came across as mocking tradition” and was viewed as “disrespectful” toward the Firm.

The insider added that the joke underscored Meghan’s continued frustration with royal protocol and “proved she’s still laughing at the monarchy.”
