Virginia Giuffre’s family issued a statement after Andrew renounced his royal titles
Prince Andrew took the decisive step of relinquishing his royal titles after major backlash.
The father-of-two announced that he is renouncing his titles, including Duke of York, after discussion with King Charles.
In response, his accuser, Virginia Giuffre’s family issues a statement.
“We, the family of Virginia Roberts Giuffre, believe that Prince Andrew’s decision to give up his titles is vindication for our sister and survivors everywhere.”, the family stated as per Fox News Digital.
“This decisive action is a powerful step forward in our fight to bring Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell’s child trafficking network to justice.”, the statement continued.
The family of the late woman further went on to request King Charles to “remove the title of Prince” from Andrew.
In December 2014, Virginia described being trafficked to the Duke of York, at least three times.
It comes at a time when Andrew’s accuser Virginia Giuffre’s posthumous autobiography is set to launch next week, which includes her retelling of her encounters with Andrew.
In his statement, Andrew reiterated that he denies the accusations.
