Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Phase Six upcoming movie, Fantastic Four: First Steps, has received a positive Rotten Tomatoes score, earning Certified Fresh status and outshining DCU’s Superman.

Marvel’s first family is heading to the silver screen, and ahead of its premiere, critics have given it an 88% score on Rotten Tomatoes.

That score tops James Gunn’s recent blockbuster Superman, which debuted with 86% and currently stands at 83% as more reviews roll in.

However, the MCU movie’s score may fluctuate in the coming days as additional critiques are published.

For now, Fantastic Four ranks higher than Captain America: Brave New World, which holds a 45% score, and ties with Thunderbolts, also sitting at 88%.

Still, reports suggest that even if the score drops slightly, Fantastic Four: First Steps could remain one of the MCU’s best recent releases, especially considering that all past live-action Fantastic Four movies have scored significantly lower.

The 2005 Fantastic Four received just 27%, while the franchise’s previous best, Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer (2007), scored 37%.

The franchise hit rock bottom with its 2015 reboot, which tanked at a mere 9% on Rotten Tomatoes.
