Marvel Cinematic Universe is bringing Marvel’s first family to officially launch Phase Six, and The Fantastic Four: First Steps director Matt Shakman talked about passing the torch to the Russo Brothers.
The filmmaker said that the movie will serve as a launchpad for further thrilling projects, one of which is Avengers: Doomsday.
Recently, at the world premiere of Fantastic Four in LA, Shakman spoke to Deadline on the blue textured carpet about how the Russo Brothers were involved during the movie's creation.
“They were very curious about what we were doing; they came to tour our sets, they would watch scenes that we were cutting together,” the director said about the Russo Brothers.
“They wanted to get to know these people as they were working on their story and their script, so that I could pass the baton to them and these characters would be well cared for,” Shakman added.
The fourth attempt to revive Fantastic Four features Pedro Pascal as Mr. Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby as Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn as Human Torch, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as The Thing.
The MCU movie is a retrofuturistic-themed story that takes place in a parallel universe where Earth is in danger from Galactus, played by Ralph Ineson, and Shalla-Bal, portrayed by Julia Garner.
