Meghan Markle, Prince Harry criticized over staff turnover amid budget cuts

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are facing backlash over yet another wave of staff departures, with one royal insider accusing the couple of cycling through employees “quicker than toilet paper.”

Reports claim the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have parted ways with at least six key PR staffers in recent weeks, including UK Director of Communications Charlie Gipson, US Deputy Press Secretary Kyle Boulia, and Archewell’s Head of Operations Lianne Cashin, just weeks after her promotion.

The Page Six report also alleges that Harry and Meghan have cycled through as many as 25 staff members since their 2020 royal exit.

While no official reason was given, insiders suggest the move is part of a larger cost-cutting effort. 

With their $100 million Netflix deal reportedly expiring this year and future renewals expected to come at a lower price, the couple may be tightening budgets across the board.

Some industry experts say outsourcing PR to firms like Method Communications is cheaper than maintaining full-time staff.

Despite the turnover, Meghan and Harry continue to pursue new media ventures as they attempt to maintain their public presence, and financial independence, outside the royal family.
