Royal fans are voicing their disapproval online after noticing Prince William and Kate Middleton's unusual placement during a recent state visit.
The Prince and Princess of Wales greeted French President Emmanuel Macron and First Lady Brigitte Macron at RAF Northolt before travelling with them to Windsor to join King Charles and Queen Camilla.
But once all parties arrived, royal watchers were quick to point out that William and Kate were noticeably distanced from the main royal stage during the group’s appearance.
Social media users took to X tgo call out the “awkward” and “terrible” staging.
“Am I the only one who objects to this staging? The optics are terrible,” one fan wrote.
Another added: “It’s strange?! On previous state visits… they were all on the stage.”
Critics say the Waleses should have been included more centrally alongside the King and Queen.
Others compared the setup to previous visits, like the South Korean state visit, where William and Kate were prominently placed.
Despite the debate, Kate stunned in a Christian Dior ensemble, paired with Princess Diana’s earrings and a pearl necklace from Queen Elizabeth II’s collection.
