Meghan Markle’s jam brand, As Ever, has come under scrutiny as reports suggest the products are mass-produced by a corporate partner, not handmade in her Montecito kitchen as implied.
Despite promotional material showing Meghan stirring fruit in a pot at home, experts now claim the raspberry spread is likely manufactured in a sterile, large-scale production facility.
The fruit preserve’s label lists Netflix’s corporate offices as its official address, raising eyebrows about the real force behind the brand.
According to The Daily Mail, Meghan partnered with Netflix on As Ever, with the streaming giant handling much of the business and production behind the scenes.
Jam-making expert Donna Collins noted the production “looks industrial” and “not small-scale,” adding that the jam is probably cooked in vats, piped into jars, and untouched by human hands.
Further controversy surrounds The Republic of Tea factory, located 2,000 miles from Meghan’s home, which reportedly produces the preserve, despite marketing suggesting a cozy, kitchen-crafted origin.
While legally sound, critics argue the branding is misleading, calling it a typical celebrity tactic with an extra dose of royal scrutiny.
Meghan has yet to comment on the allegations.
