Princess Anne breaks royal beauty norms with daring lipstick look

Princess Anne turned heads at this year’s Order of the Garter ceremony by ditching her typically understated beauty routine in favour of a bold new look. 

The Princess Royal arrived at Windsor Castle on June 16 wearing a striking pink metallic lipstick, a daring departure from her usual no-fuss style.

Dressed in the traditional blue velvet robes and feathered hat, the shimmering lipstick added a modern twist to her regal ensemble. 

Hello! Magazine’s Acting Head of Beauty, Cassie Steer, praised the look, saying, “Leave it to Anne to push beauty boundaries in the chicest of ways.”

The Order of the Garter, founded in 1348, is the UK’s oldest and most prestigious order of chivalry. 

Royals and honoured guests gathered at St George’s Chapel for the annual procession and service.

Other royal attendees also made style statements, with Duchess Sophie in Savannah London and Princess Kate recycling her cream Self-Portrait chiffon midi dress, paired with a vintage pearl necklace by Susan Caplan.

While Anne wore military dress in the summer heat, her unexpected beauty choice stole the spotlight, proving that at 73, the Princess Royal isn’t afraid to make a bold move.
