Rising Hollywood A-lister Florence Pugh stars in English artist Yungblud’s new music video for his latest track, Zombie.
The song is from the singer’s new album, Idols, which arrives June 20. Pugh, starring in the album’s track, portrays the role of a medical professional struggling with her personal and professional needs.
While the alt-rock singer croons lyrics about hiding pain and spiralling into a zombie-like state, Pugh enacts the words he delivers.
A pair of white angels appears on Pugh’s shoulders as the video ends.
Behind the scenes, award-winning performer Yungblud revealed that he initially wrote Zombie about his grandmother, who was going through a serious injury and trauma.
That trauma was “leading her to become a different person than who she was before.”
The English singer’s new album is produced by Untold Studios, and the music video featuring Pugh was directed by Charlie Sarsfield.
Zombie is the third release from the record, following Lovesick Lullaby and Hello Heaven, Hello.
Yungblud will be flying out for the Idols World Tour this summer, which starts in Los Angeles on August 23.
Meanwhile, Pugh recently starred in the Marvel Cinematic Universe's latest movie, Thunderbolts, where she led an “unconventional team of antiheroes”
