American actor Vin Diesel breaks silence on comparison between Mission Impossible and Fast & Furious
Vin Diesel addressed the ongoing comparison between his Fast & Furious series and Tom Cruise’s Mission: Impossible saga.
The 57-year-old actor turned to Instagram to share a two-minute-long video of himself as he exits a meeting. On his way out, the Fast Five lead clicked selfies with his fans waiting outside.
Vin revealed that he got to know about an ongoing comparison between his and the 62-year-old’s action series.
The Pacifier actor questioned his fans: “Do you really have to compare everything.”
He advised his fandom to avoid contrasting the two action thrillers and instead “congratulate Tom Cruise and their whole team on their success.”
Vin stressed that “they are fighting the good fight” in maintaining cinema as not a “lot of us are left.”
The Guardians of the Galaxy actor reminisced a “cool gesture” from the Top Gun: Maverick star who sent him a letter to acknowledge the “success of XXX” when it was newly released.
According to many outlets, both the movie series bear great similarities as Tom played the role of Ethan Hunt who always goes on impossible missions.
On the other hand, Vin as Dominic Toretto never stayed back from embarking on difficult tasks globally.
When is Fast X: Part 2 coming out?
This comes after the release of The Final Reckoning on May 23, 2025. Fans quickly began to contrast it with the Fast & Furious franchise, which is expected to wrap up in March 2026 with the release of its final instalment.
