MONSTA X’s IM part ways with Starship Entertainment, shares handwritten letter

MONSTA X and I.M ended their journey together.

I.M of MONSTA X has issued a statement to his fans in response to the news that he is leaving Starship Entertainment.

Regarding MONSTA X's contracts, Starship Entertainment issued a statement on August 8. They revealed that I.M would leave Starship but would carry on with group activities and that five members had extended their contracts with the agency.

I.M shared a handwritten note in the group's official fan café after this announcement.

The letter started with a regular ‘Hello’ with an introduction.

It continued, “Seven years have gone by since I made my first start as a singer with Starship.”

He further explained how he enjoyed time with MONSTA X, and why he left it.

Meanwhile, as was previously announced, MONSTA X's whole six-piece lineup will remain with the band. I.M will leave Starship Entertainment after his current contract expires, but the other five members have renewed.
