Katy Perry expresses excitement about her next album: 'Pure joy and fun'

Katy Perry is super-excited about her as-yet-untitled next album!

The Dark Horse singer after suffering a wardrobe malfunction on her Monday night American Idol show spilled details about what she can expect from her as-yet-untitled next album.

“I just have yet to make a record from a place of feeling really happy and whole and full of love,” said Perry.

Perry added, “Sometimes artists are like, ‘Oh, that’s boring, you want to make music from kind of like a tougher place,’ but actually it’s very bright and joyful, like pure joy and fun and playful and celebratory and a party.”

Katy Perry has not yet wholly announced details about her upcoming album.

The singer was having a gala time when an unfortunate wardrobe malfunction struck her.

Her elaborate metallic top she wore nearly came off during the broadcast.

“I wouldn’t call it a malfunction, I just call it an interesting moment on live television,” the Last Friday night crooner told Access Hollywood.
