Meet Dr. Jill Biden: The woman behind President Joe Biden

Dr. Jill Biden is a living example of how the success of a man depends on the woman in his life.

The first lady was husband Joe Biden's strength during his lowest times. When Biden lost his beloved eldest son, Beau Biden in 2015, Dr. Jill brought the president back to life with her endless love.

Detailing on how brave her husband is, Dr. Jill once revealed how Biden walked back to his job only four days after his son died of cancer.

 "I watched Joe shave and put on his suit. I saw him steel himself in the mirror, take a breath, put his shoulders back, and walk out into a world empty of our son," Jill revealed at August's Democratic National Convention in 2020.

 "He went back to work. That's just who he is," she admired her husband.

She went on to share how her husband has been a pillar of strength for the homeless and ill ever since.

"For all those people Joe gives his personal phone number to at rope lines and events," she shared. "The ones he talks to for hours after dinner, helping them smile through their loss, letting them know that they aren't alone."

His son's death was not the first loss Joe Biden witnessed in his lifetime. In 1972, the president lost his first wife Nielia Hunter Biden and daughter Naomi Biden in a deadly car accident.

Three years after the devastating loss, Biden found love in his beloved wife and now first lady, Dr. Jill Biden. She became the mother to his sons and a faithful wife who always had her husband's back.

"She gave me back my life," the 78-year-old wrote in his 2007 memoir Promises to Keep. "She made me start to think my family might be whole again."

In their 43 year-long marriage, there was not a time Dr. Jill never believed in her husband. Fast forward to 2021, she still stands strong with her husband as he takes an oath to be the 76th President of the US.
