Amber Riley has dished on Broadway and why she has not performed on it as of yet, and her reason is similar to why Megan Thee Stallion had to halt hers.

The Glee alum participated in the London revival of Dreamgirls but has yet to take on any musicals or other shows on Broadway by responding to a netizen on Threads.

One internet user wrote on the platform that New York City runs theater actors ragged, comparing it to being in the Marines and noted that it cannot be healthy or sustainable.

Amber replied, “It’s not. That’s why when people hassle me about it, I say when the culture changes maybe I’ll do it. “But as of now, asking people to sing at the top of their range 8 shows a week without proper support or compensation, absolutely not.”

“You can have all the training in the world, which I do, and you can STILL injure. It’s not sustainable or healthy. Any ENT doctor will tell you that,” the Oliver Award winner added.

Megan, who has been performing in Moulin Rouge! The Musical recently had to take a break and be hospitalised due to exhaustion.

Notably, the Otaku Hot Girl singer revealed that she had not been taking care of herself and pushing herself too much which is why she experienced dehydration, vasoconstriction and low metabolic levels.
