Cynthia Erivo opened up about the worried text messeges she has been receiving by Ariana Grande following the end of Wicked.

The British actress, who starred opposite to Grande in Wicked franchise as Elphaba and Glinda respectively, is now starring in critically acclaimed one-woman stage adaptation of Dracula.

The performance is demanding as she has to portray all of the 23 roles.

The production spans approximately 20,000 words, as Erivo described the demands of memorising and performing the material.

During her appearance on This Morning while speaking to Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary, she revealed how her former co-stars keep a check on her during this hectic time.

"Jeff [Goldblum] came, Jonathan [Bailey] came. I think everyone’s sort of like trickling in. I got some really beautiful messages, and Jonathan is constantly texting to make sure I’m okay," she said.

The Harriet actress added, "Ari is very, very worried that I'm not resting enough, so she's consistently texting."

Erivo continued, "Everyone's so lovely, it feels like we have a little bit of a family."

Talking about how she memorised all the roles, their dialogue and body language, she explained, "I learn it in chunks. What you have to do is learn it with a reason."

Erivo further said that she needs to fully understand where the characters are, what are they doing, and their motivations in order to memorise her lines effectively.

She continued, "You learn it almost like a dancer."

Dracula is being played at the Noel Coward Theatre in London’s West End. It will run until May 31.
