Jack Quaid hinted at what to expect from the final chapter of The Boys fifth and final season.
Quiad starred as Hughie Campbell in the Prime Video series. He is an ordinary anxious man who life changes after his girlfriend is killed by the superhero A-Trian, leading him to join the vigilante group The Boys to fight against corrupt superheroes.
In an interview with the Entertainment Weekly, the Oppenheimer star opened up about the emotional and intense final chapter of the series.
He teased that the upcoming series, will "not gonna be a fairytale ending. It's gonna be pretty gruesome."
The actor reflected on the bittersweet experience of wrapping up the ultra-violent superhero satire, noting the cast growing awareness that this was their last ride.
"I'm never gonna film anything like this show ever again. I have to savour every drop of blood that hits me," he said.
Quaid, who joined the series in his mid-20s, credited the chaotic production as an "incredible bootcamp" for his career, preparing him for roles in projects like, Oppenheimer and Scream.
Fifth and final season of The Boys premieres with two episodes on April 8 on streaming platform, with new episodes dropping weekly.
