Lily Collins, Jack Quaid, Brie Larson and Henry Golding have joined the cast as the leads for Amazon MGM Studios' upcoming rom-com, Close Personal Friends.
Directed by Jason Orley and produced by Elizebeth Berger, the film will follow a couple who befriend a celebrity pair while on a trip to Santa Barbara.
Though most of the plot and cast details are being kept under wraps, the production is scheduled to begin in London in September.
Notably, Close Personal Friends went through several title changes with Orley and scriptwriter Isaac Aptaker.
Netizens were excited to see the cast lineup and shared their sentiments about the actors. One fan wrote, “Love to see Brie in a comedy. Lily is always funny, too.” Another well-wisher commented, “I like the premise.”
For the unversed, Lily Collins is currently filming the fifth season of her Netflix series, Emily in Paris. On the other hand, Jack Quaid recently starred in the action/thriller film, Novocaine.
However, this feature will mark Brie Larson’s return to the big screen after her last movie, The Marvels, in 2023, and will continue to see Henry Golding’s rise in Hollywood.
As of now, Close Personal Friends are speculated to be released by September 2025.
