Jack Black opened up about his rivalry with Ryan Gosling following the 2024 Academy Awards.

The Holiday star has declared the Project Hail Mary actor his archenemy since his hit song Peaches, song from The Super Mario Bros. Movie, got snubbed at the Oscars.

During his appearance at The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, he said, "Bowser did not get any attention or love from the Academy."

Black emphasised that Peaches was a massive "banger" that "everyone was singing" and kids were belting out.

“For a second, I was like, 'I think we might get a nominash.' And, sure enough, we did not. It was a goose egg,” he said.

A Minecraft Movie actor got even more disappointed when he learned that “‘The Goz,' Ryan Gosling, did get a nominash!”

He added, “I was like, 'Son of a biscuit. This Gosling, always snacking on my potatoes.'"

The Tenacious D singer admitted to “ a little professional jealousy,” while quickly adding that he genuinely loves I’m Just Ken and the Barbie movie.

However, that didn't stop Black from holding a grudge against his fellow actor.

Bring back the discussion to the main point, Black performed an impromptu revenge song as Bowser on the show, “I can't believe / I wasn't nominated / Bowser shall have his revenge!'"

While Gosling did not win any Oscar that night, however, another Barbie song, What Was I Made For? By Billie Eilish did end up winning.
