Kelly Clarkson has been through a difficult time during the previous year as she lost her former partner and father of her children, Brandon Blackstock.

After the 43-year-old remained absent on several episodes, the host broke her silence to announce the end of The Kelly Clarkson Show.

The singer shared the reason why she is calling off the series which has been running for seven years.

In the long note shared on Instagram, Kelly penned down that the current “season will be my last hosting TKCS” despite it not being “an easy decision.”

The host is looking forward to “prioritize my kids” by “stepping away from the daily schedule.”

According to her, this move “feels necessary and right for this next chapter of our lives.”

The Catch My Breath singer insisted that “this isn’t goodbye,” teasing her future projects of “making music, playing shows here and there.”

The presenter admitted that she will “still be making music, playing shows.” Fans will be able to catch her on “The Voice from time to time.”

She kept other plans discreet, writing: “you never know where I might show up next.”

The American Idol star looked back at her experience working with “an outstanding group of people at TKCS,” expressing her gratitude and honour to “have worked alongside the greatest band and crew.”
