King Charles reportedly has one major reason for wanting to keep Sarah Ferguson happy amid the Royal Lodge saga: to avoid another tell-all scandal.
With Prince Andrew and Fergie facing pressure to vacate their 30-room Windsor home, reports suggest the King has been left frustrated by their latest demand for two separate Crown Estate properties.
Despite being divorced since 1996, the pair have lived together for years, but now want their own homes before agreeing to move out.
While many questioned why Charles would entertain such a request, royal expert Rebecca English revealed the King’s motives in the Daily Mail: he’s keen to prevent Sarah from turning against the monarchy in the press, or worse, penning her own bombshell memoir.
A palace source told the outlet: “The King’s patience has been pushed to the limit. However, the last thing he wants is another Spare.”
The comparison to Prince Harry’s explosive 2023 memoir hasn’t gone unnoticed, especially as Andrew has already assured the King he won’t “pull a Harry” and write a book.
