Meghan Markle sparked discussion online this weekend after accidentally revealing Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet’s faces in a video posted to Instagram.
The clip, which showed Prince Harry carving a pumpkin, briefly captured their children playing in the background, prompting Meghan to swiftly edit the video.
While the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are known for fiercely protecting their children’s privacy, insiders say their caution comes from genuine fear for their safety.
A source told PEOPLE: “Harry has been reluctant to show his children publicly, not out of a desire to hide them but to protect their privacy and safety from potential threats. He wants them to lead as normal a life as possible without the fear of kidnapping or harm.”
Even when Meghan shares family moments, such as their Disneyland trip earlier this year, she deliberately avoids showing her children’s faces, often using clever angles or emojis for privacy.
