The cricketer was knighted at the Windsor Castle
Princess Anne has continued her royal appearances despite the ongoing crisis the royal family is facing.
On October 28, 2025, awarded the knighthood to England's legendary fast bowler James Anderson.
The Palace shared snaps from the event on Instagram on the royal family’s official account.
The caption included wish from the royal family to everyone who received the honour writing “Congratulations to everyone who received their honours from The Princess Royal at Windsor Castle today!”
The cricketer was also congratulated in the post “Recipients included Sir James Anderson, who was made a Knight Bachelor for Services to Cricket.”
The comments appreciated the Princess Royal who looked elegant as one user wrote “The Princess Royal looks wonderful.”
The cricketer, who was born in Burnley in 1982, is considered one of the greatest cricketers in the world who has the record of having taken the most wickets by a fast bowler.
Previously, James was knighted by former Prime Minister of UK Rishi Sunak at the 2024 Prime Minister's Resignation Honours.
