How Prince William, Kate Middleton mark Halloween with secret, intimate party

A former royal butler has revealed rare behind-the-scenes details of Prince William and Kate Middleton’s secret Halloween party.

Speaking to Smooth Spins, ex-royal butler Grant Harrold, who worked for King Charles between 2004 and 2011, shared that the couple hosted an intimate Halloween celebration in 2009, two years before their royal wedding.

“The younger royals used to go away for Halloween,” Harrold said.

“I remember back in 2009, William and Kate threw a party at one of the remote cabins on the Scottish estate. Me and another butler decorated the place with cobwebs and spiders.”

“The meal wasn’t Halloween-themed, and there were no costumes,” he added.

“It was all smart-casual, jeans and shirts. About 12 friends joined them. William and Kate absolutely loved it.”

The future royals even handled the catering themselves. “They took the food down, unpacked it, served it, and washed it up afterwards,” Harrold revealed.

“They did everything themselves, just like any other young couple.”
