Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have reportedly lost yet another senior staffer, marking the couple’s tenth publicist in just five years.
Their most recent hire, Emily Robinson, who joined in June after working on Netflix’s The Crown, is said to have stepped down quietly after just a few months.
Royal biographer Ingrid Seward believes she’s pinpointed why turnover among the Sussexes’ team is so high.
Speaking to The Sun, she said: “It must be quite chaotic working for the Sussexes. They’ve lost so many staff. It’s not that they stay for long, they make brief appearances, then leave.”
Seward suggested the issue lies in Meghan’s hands-on management style, adding: “It seems to me Meghan wants to control everything, so they certainly make some quite major PR errors.”
She also claimed staff often discover the role is “not what they imagined” once inside the Sussex inner circle.
Despite the exodus, the couple still have a small loyal team, including Liam Maguire, Director of Communications for Europe, and Meredith Maines, Chief Communications Officer, who reportedly helped facilitate Harry’s summer meeting with King Charles.
