The next generation of royals, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, may one day revolutionize what it means to be a working royal, according to a former royal insider.

Grant Harrold, who served as King Charles’s butler from 2004 to 2011, told Study Dog that the young Wales children could take on “brand endorsements” and “influencer-style roles” when they eventually represent the monarchy.

Harrold suggested that by the time the trio step into public duties, the Royal Family will look “very different” from today’s traditional institution.

“There will be a high demand on the children because their workload will be increased,” he said.

“But the Royal Family may not be carrying out the same responsibilities, we could see more celebrity-style roles and digital engagement.”

The former aide added that ribbon-cutting ceremonies could be replaced by modern, media-driven appearances to connect with younger audiences.

Harrold concluded, “It will be a very different era — one where the royal brand may evolve into something we’ve never seen before.”
