Tom Holland is back in action and back on the big screen after recovering from a recent on-set injury.
The 29-year-old Spider-Man star has been tapped to headline Jason Bateman’s new film The Partner, an adaptation of John Grisham’s bestselling novel.
The film follows a young attorney who fakes his own death to steal $90 million from his law firm’s client, a dark, twisty role marking a major shift from Holland’s superhero persona.
Bateman will direct and executive produce the project under his Aggregate Films banner, alongside producer Michael Costigan.
The Impossible actor will also produce through his company Billy 17, joined by his brother Harry Holland and Will South.
This exciting career news comes shortly after reports surfaced about Holland’s scary accident on the set of Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
The actor was said to have been rushed to hospital after a pull ring line “snapped,” leaving him with a bump on the head and a suspected mild concussion.
However, sources have now confirmed the incident “wasn’t as bad as people think.”
Production was briefly paused for two weeks, but filming is already back on track and the highly anticipated Spider-Man sequel is still slated for release on July 31, 2026.
Tom Holland’s most recent released movie is Uncharted (2022), an action-adventure film based on the popular video game series, in which he plays treasure hunter Nathan Drake.
