One Direction stars reuniting for Netflix show worth millions

Former One Direction stars Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik are teaming up in a multi-million-pound Netflix deal for a new road trip documentary.

The series will follow the pair as they travel across the United States, sharing memories from their boyband days and reflecting on their lives since, according to reports.

The Sun first broke news of the reunion, which will also see the singers address the tragic death of former bandmate Liam Payne during their journey.

“This will be an absolutely huge show for Netflix and is guaranteed to whip 1D’s global army of fans into a frenzy,” a TV source told the outlet.

“Although the idea of British boyband members doing a show about travelling across America sounds random,” the source added, “most of them now have strong links Stateside.”

The insider also described the project as “a chance for some serious soul-searching and deep discussions about the incredible journey the group have already been on since they were formed on The X Factor 15 years ago.”

The series is expected to premiere on Netflix next year, coinciding with the 10th anniversary of the band’s split, when Louis and Zayn began pursuing solo careers.
