Perrie Edwards reveals Liam Payne’s ex helped her through Zayn Malik break up
The singer was engaged to Zayn Malik until 2015
Little Mix star Perrie Edwards has opened up about her break up from Zayn Malik.
The singer dated the One Direction star and was engaged to him until their split in 2015, the same year Zayn left the band.
The 32-year-old, who is now engaged to footballer Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, has revealed who helped her go through the heartbreak and it was someone who saw the boyband world much closely.
In an interview with The iPaper, Perrie said Cheryl became her “agony aunt” after the split.
“I had a lot of demons, a lot of s**t to deal with, but for me sometimes coping with it under the radar is a bit easier.”, Perrie stated.
Perrie grew closer to Cheryl when she was on the XFactor UK where the Girls Aloud singer was a judge.
The British singer herself dated another One Direction boy, Liam Payne, with whom she had a son before breaking up in 2018.
Previously, Perrie admitted that Zayn reached out to her much later and tried to make amends with her.
She described their relationship as “toxic” that left her thinking she didn't want to meet anybody.
