Keith Urban can get millions in divorce from Nicole Kidman

Australian couple Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman have filed for divorce after 19 years of marriage.

The pair, once considered the ideal couple, is now choosing to go their separate ways.

The singer petitioned in a Nashville court to end the marriage on September 30.

The two met in 2005 at a Los Angeles event honouring Australians and got married the next year in Sydney.

As per their filing, the marriage “suffered irreconcilable differences”.

Now, as the divorce proceedings are due to go ahead, it is expected that the singer can receive millions from the Hollywood diva.

The reports of the possible payment are drawn from the couple’s prenuptial agreement, according to RadarOnline.

According to a “cocaine clause”, Keith could receive millions for remaining sober from drugs and alcohol.

The clause stipulates that the actress is to pay her husband $600,000 for every year that they were together if he stays sober.

As told by the singer, he has been sober for 19 years.

If they choose to apply the clause, the singer can receive up to a sum of $11.4 million in payments.
